Christmas Eating Without Guilt

Christmas Eating Without Guilt. Hi, and it’s holiday time and today I just want to take a couple of minutes and remind you of some of the things we’ve been talking about over the last several months when it comes to managing your weight, feeling good and staying on whatever kind of an eating program is best for you.

I’m Debbie Harris, I’m the co-owner of Maynestreet Weight Loss on the Connecticut shoreline. So let’s review a couple of things we’ve talked about and please go to Maynestreet Weight Loss street weight loss on Youtube. All of this information is elaborated there.

First of all, we know that it’s holiday time, whether you’re celebrating Hanukkah or Christmas or any other holiday, there’s food, there’s food, there’s tons of food. In fact, I was talking to someone just the other day who is celebrating Christmas in Kenya this weekend and he said to me what I said, what do you, what do you do, what do you eat? Family gets together and we eat meat. Tons of meat, as much meat as we possibly can.

I said, okay, everybody has their tradition and I guarantee yours include some form of sugar, perhaps some form of alcohol and a lot of food. So remember to enjoy the gathering, make the best choice you can and honestly, if you want to have that Christmas cookie have it, just don’t eat the whole plate.

Be reasonable with your choices. Remember we talked about alcohol and you can check back that video. Stay away from the mixers, have yourself some vodka, perhaps with a little club soda and a lime.

Have some tequila. Squeeze in some fresh oranges, some fresh lime. Stay away from the sweet stuff. Okay? And as far as movement, keep moving, go out and take a walk if the weather is good. If you’ve got an indoor bike, if you go to a gym, keep moving during the holidays, don’t give that up. And here’s one last very important thing, drink water.

You should be drinking half your bodyweight in ounces every day. Keep that up. That will make a big difference and most important, have a wonderful holiday. There is no guilt.

Food is not bad or good, enjoy yourself. And remember these tips, they will help you and they’ll help you get right back on track after the holiday.
