Trigger Foods Part 2 Diet help. Last week, I talked about trigger foods and I talked about identifying some of your trigger foods and what you might do about those trigger foods or how to substitute. So, don’t forget to go to our main street weight loss YouTube channel and check that out. I’m Debbie Harris. I’m the co-founder of Maynestreet Weight Loss. Take it off and keep it off. I said there was a part two to triggers and that’s what we’re gonna talk about right now. This came up actually, when I was talking to someone who mentioned to me, hey, Deb, I saw your video on Trigger Foods and I have a question for you. This is the scenario I’m dealing with.
My mother-in-law loves to bake awesome chocolate chip cookies and my husband can’t stop eating them. So he comes home with them every time.He doesn’t want to offend his mom. And literally, if he takes one, they’re gone. So one of the things I said, and one of the things that you can do and it’s so simple, we just don’t think about it, allow yourself to have one cookie. Put the rest of them in the freezer or someplace you’re not going to easily find them.
The freezer is the best place because they’re gonna stay longer. And there’s that time element. Even if you stick it in a microwave, you have to do something to get it all gooey again. So try the freezer. The other thing is the basic thing with trigger foods, don’t keep them in the house If at all possible.
That’s not always possible. Sometimes you have kids in the house, you have other family members in the house. You don’t want to restrict everybody. Not that they shouldn’t have a healthier treat also, but it is important to think about how you can deal with your trigger foods. Go to our our website Maynestreet.com https://maynestreet.com/.
