Are You Spending Too Much on Water?

Are You Spending Too Much on Water? We’ve talked recently about adding colors, adding colors to your plate when you eat. We’ve also talked recently about the importance of water and making sure that you get enough water each and every day. I’m Debbie Harris. I’m the co-owner of Maynestreet Weight Loss and I’m going to dig just a little bit deeper in those two things with with some further tips for you today.

So let’s take the water first. It may surprise you to know, it surprised me, that all this alkaline water that’s being advertised all the ph balance, there is absolutely no scientific proof whatsoever, medical science that that makes any difference to the human body. Now, I read this, I learned it from someone who is a health coach and then I actually took it to my doctor, my naturopathic doctor this week and said, is that true? And she said absolutely, the human body doesn’t even do anything with it. So what’s the point here? Those cost a lot more money and they’re great marketing, but you don’t need it. Spring water is fine and you may have filtered water. The deal with water is the quantity, make sure you’re getting half your body weight in ounces every day. That’s the key with water.

Now, let’s go to those colors we talked about. You guys have asked me a lot of questions about organic, organic fruits and vegetables. So here’s a simple thing to keep in mind. Not everybody wants to buy organic all the time. Not everybody can find organic all the time. Here’s something to keep in mind. Avocados, oranges. Do we eat the outside? No, not as important to get organic. Apples, strawberries, blueberries, anything in the berry family?

You guessed it, much more important because we’re actually eating the entire fruit. Same thing with vegetables. Think about what you’re eating the whole fruit or vegetable of and the ones you’re not and if the outside is something you’re not eating and you’re not going to get it organic, okay. Stick with the ones that we are eating the whole thing. If you like these tips, there’s many, many more on our Youtube channel. Maynestreet Weight Loss and I look forward to seeing you in the next video.
